Laura graduated from Canadian Therapeutic College with an honours diploma in Massage Therapy in 2006. Since graduating Laura has been a member in good standing in both the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario. Laura has worked in various settings such as multidisciplinary clinics and spas before starting her own business in 2010. Largely specializing in deep tissue and myofascial release techniques, Laura is also trained in Bowenwork, hot stone massage and Indie head massage. Her treatments tend to focus on reducing pain and inflammation, and she particularly likes to incorporate paraffin wax and other hydrotherapy techniques for the maintenance of arthritis symptoms. Laura is an avid equestrian, gardener, and nutrition/fitness enthusiast, who maintains a large property and hobby farm with her husband in Stirling-Rawdon Township.

What is a Registered Massage Therapist?
Massage therapy is a regulated health profession in Ontario. A registered massage therapist (RMT) is an individual who has 2200 hours of competency-based education at an institution recognized by the government of Ontario. An RMT has successfully completed the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario (www.cmto.com) board examinations in accordance with the regulated health professionals act, and maintains their registration by completing the yearly quality assurance program- a continuing education program designed to uphold professional standards of practice.
