What is Bowenwork?
Bowenwork involves a rolling movement over the soft tissues of the body. It does not involve deep pressure or prolonged contact with the tissue like a traditional massage. Bowenwork influences lymphatic flow and the reduction of sympathetic nervous system firing. Because it is so gentle Bowenwork is suitable for everyone including newborns and the elderly. Head Massage
What is Indie Head Massage?
Indian or Indie head massage involves warming sesame oil infused with sandalwood and neroli essential oils and applying it to the scalp and hair. The scalp is massaged using squeezing, vigorous scratching, and gentle pulling movements to the hair. Combined with kneading and compression of the neck, shoulders and face the treatment alleviates headaches, stress, muscle tension and stimulates lymphatic drainage. This service can be preformed with or without essential oils.
What is Hot Stone Massage?
Hot stone massage is a specialty massage where the therapist uses smooth basalt or marble stones either as an extension of their own hands or by placing them on the body while they massage other parts of the body. The stones are heated to 50-53 degrees Celsius to promote deep relaxation and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work deeper on the tissue. Hot stone massage is generally offered as a full body treatment, with treatment durations of 1 to 2 hours in length.
